Warhammer 40000 ce era odata un board game ,cu figurine din plastic ,in 1987, a fost transformat intr-un RTS mai tarziu. Acesta contine 3 expansiuni la care se adauga la fiecare cate 2 rase in plus. Soulstrom este ultima expansiune, aceasta continad 9 rase. Asemanator cu stilul diversificat, dar balansat al lui starcraft. Ce este original la aceste RTS este ca unitatile nu sunt controlate pe individual ci pe squad, cu care poti aduce intariri direct pe campul de lupta. Resursele nu trebuiesc farmate, ci sunt sub forma de Strategic Points care trebuiesc capturate. In continuare o sa va vorbesc cate putin despre fiecare clasa in parte.
Space Marines
Cei mai balansati, cei buni la toate, cei mai usor de jucat ca incepator. Puternici, cu exo-schelet, imbracati in spacesuits, care arata mai dregraba a unforma de lupta. Pregatiti pentru orice atac posbil cu pistolul intr-o mana si cu sabia in cealalta(care poate sa serveasca si ca anti-tank lulz), cu credinta lor in “The Emperor” aka “God-Emperor” care intotdeauna le da curaj si moral ridicat pe campul de lupta indiferent de circumstante.

Tau
O rasa de extraterestrii albastii. Cei mai avanstati din puncte de vedere tehnologic, fata de toate rasele. Condusi de “For the Greater Good”, colonozind si “curantand” alte planete. Ei sunt varza in melee atacks, dar foarte buni in ranged. Good in accuracy and long range.

Sau elfii dintr-un unviers sf, slabanogi, dar rapizi. Ei au o natura mai “fugitiva”. Daca ii vei folosi precumniste space marines sigur nu o sa castigi. Surgical strikes at the enemy then run back, thats the ideea. Ei fug, se teleporteaza prin Web Gates, apar, dispar lasandu-te cu baze distrusa. Tricky bastrads…

Orcii… atacand in numere colosale. Tehnologia lor e una din ceva gen din Al Doilea Razboi Modial, ei mergand pe premiza: cu cat mai mult cat atat mai bine. Specializati pe melee. Slabi in numere mici.

The Eldar who hace chosen the dark side. Tot la fel de rapizi, insa nu se pot teleporta la fel ca Eldarii. Ei au un sistem special, in care trebuie sa aduni cat mai multe suflete alor celor cazuti pe campul de batalie si sa le folosesti contra inamicilor, sub forma de diverse spelluri.

Tot asa ca Dark Eldarii, Chaos s-au abatut de legile Space Marinilor. Totul a inceput the la un psyker care auzea vocile zeilor Chaos. Si de la el s-a nascut o noua rasa de tradatori. Specializati mai mult pe melee.

Necrons
Un fel de roboti misteriosi care arata ca skeletul uman avand “living metal”, care au reiesit la suprafata, dupa ani inelungati de latenta. Toate unitatile sunt constuite in Monolith. Obiectivul tau este restaurezi Monolithul, tot odata si rasa, la full power. Puternici si in ranged si melee. Unitatile cazute se pot reconstrui si lupta din nou pe campul de lupta. Ei an singur tip de gun, in varinte mai mici sau mai mari, cum zice si imaginea: Gauss Gun. Cea mai epic rasa dintre toate, parearea mea.

Sisters of Battle
aka the feminine version of space marines. Dar nu sunt la fel ca ei. Mai mult o sa le vezi un flamethrower in mana. Pyromaniac nuns, hehe. Nu au rezistenta Space Marini-lor, dar au abilitati puternice bazate pe faith(resursa lor speciala).

Cei mai lasi dintre toate clasesle, this why the need a Commisar! Cand squadul este demoralizat, acesta poate executa un soldat cu pistolul la tampla, pentru ca moralul sa revina. Cum draq sa joaca cu ei, nu stiu, Commanderul lui este slab, ajutat de alte unitati. Primary squad sunt slabi si se demoralizeaza repede. The have cool walker tho.
